So our fuel prices are ever increasing.
Home heating fuels rose more than 50% this winter and petrol more than doubled over the last 18 months.
Soaring to record prices.
Then we see that Exxon Mobile posts profits over 75%.
I know that number seems unrelatable.
Let’s try it this way…$9.92 *BILLION* .
That’s a number that would get even Bill Gates attention.
Kraft is cutting 6000 jobs.
Car Companies are cutting 35,000 jobs.
Dell is adding up to 15000 jobs, *IN INDIA* !
One in three Americans can’t afford health insurance because of Clinton’s Gov’t subsidies.
No Social Security by the time we retire.
Most of us have not have a pay raise in years and can barely afford gas to run the cars and heat the homes.
But Exxon Mobile just increased their profits 75% in the last quarter?
I’m watching CBS (Don’t ask, I was half asleep and my finger stopped hitting the “up” button on the remote so I got stuck there) and the news is on.
An obviously lost man, in need of Christ, salvation and truth is speaking.
Some reporter who’d just returned from the Middle East.
He said that fortunately, the muslims in the Middle East understood that it is the United States Government and not the American people which is at war with islam.
Huh?
America is a Christian Nation.
While not everybody who claims to be (Matthew 7:21) really is, we still have over 85% of our population claiming to be Christians.
If you believe in Christ, you’re at war with islam.
And whether you agree or like it, islam is at war with us.
Whether Christian or Jew, secular or religious, islam is at war with anybody who is not them.
How can we, as a Country, as a Christian Country, not be at war with a nation, a group of nations, a group of people who are at war with us?
I’m sure after his long trip, this man in need of salvation went home and buried his head in the sand.
Something he obviously did the whole time he was in the Middle East.
We have a Constitutional Right to free speech and there is no need for us to appologize for the exercise of that right.
Some of you who write to whine about God & the Chrisitan Faith like to exercise your freedom of speech and call me fat and ugly.
While that sort of vulgarity is a sure sign of lack of anything intelligent to say and more to the point, a complete lack of intelligence; it is the truth and it is your right to express it.
There is no need to appologize, right?
If I quote the quran or a muslin leader (religious or political) the Council on American-islamic Relations, CAiR, would like my to appologize for telling the truth and exercising my free right ro speech,
And what should be the appropriate response when you are challenged about being islamaphobic by C.A.i.R.?
We’ve been challenged by the Council on American-islamic Relations and we have a standard reply and it looks like Los Angeles radio station KFI has picked up our hint of what their reply ought to be.
Well hamas leader says Israel must change its flag.
And you’ll be surprised to see why they say it ought to be changed.
And Jimmy Carter says, “Give the palestinians money.”
Condeleeza Rice says, “Cut the money off.”
So what should we do?
Give the palestinians more money or cut the money off?
You know folks, we have not beat around the bush about islam.
We’ve not sugar-coated it.
We’ve not given you some placated answer about what they are really all about.
And we have not told you that islam is a peaceful religion.
To the contrary, we have told you what islam is really all about.
Destruction of Western values.
Destruction of our way of life.
And we have been taken to task by listeners and they’ve communicated with CAiR.
And CAiR always wants an appology.
To intimidate you into not saying things like that anymore.
And of course we’ve always responded to the CAiR folks that if you will come onto the broadcast and answwer the tough questions, then we will consider an appology if we’re wrong.
Well you know what?
They never come on the broadcast.
Why?
They don’t want to answer the tough questions.
Well, Los Angeles top talk radio station a secular station is under fire from a muslim group because of comments made earlier this month by their morning talk show man Bill Handel.
Again, the Counsel on islamic Ralations has demanded an appology.
Typical Modus Operandi.
They always want an appology.
They want it from Handel for making fun of a stampede that killed hundreds of muslims during an annual pilgrimage.
But Handel is firing back.
Handel says he will appologize if the Counsel on American-islamic Relations
number one, decries all acts of terror, described specifically not generally.
And number two, agrees that Israel is a sovereign nation with the right to defensable borders.
And number three, CAiR has no ties of any sort, financially
or otherwise to any terror organization or individuals.
Those of us in customer service jobs and all of us who deal with costumers and clients know of this effect.
It happens all the time.
Everything is going smoothly and well when all of a sudden, BLAMO!
A customer notices that while you were washing her windows, you missed a tiny speck.
You fix it immediately but next she notices that the window is not perfectly square.
Then the customer behind catches the fever and sees that there is a bubble in the glass and the customer behind that one notices that there is a hairline crack in his frame.
And on and on it goes until you stop washing windows and move into a monastary.
The Domino Effect.
Well, the same thing has happened here in Colorado, Denver and Aurora.
Way back in the beginning, some stupid kid who did not learn how to read in the public re-education facilities decided to climb into a neighbors yard, in spite of the warning sign on the fence.
The dog saw him as a chew toy and the more he ran, the more the dog chewed.
Hours earlier, the dogs was on his back, having his tummy rubbed by the three year old family baby.
One mother after another started whining about what their neighbors had on their own properties then one day, two neighbors had something in common:
Pit Bulls.
Since then, the poor dog has not caught a break.
Now Aurora and Denver have “Pit Bull Bans”.
Essentially it’s the liberal left telling homeowners what they can have in their homes.
Yet this same liberal left wants to whine and cry when America speaks out about what “they do in their own bedrooms” (homos!).
They’ve not only infringed on the rights of the homeowners, they’ve also created a stereotype where none exists:
The Pit Bull is not the problem.
All dogs behaviours are nurtured and not nature.
All dogs can be violent and vicious and most dogs only attack when you’ve scared them or pissed them off.
Either way, the poor Pit Bull has been targeted and now it’s been banned in two of the three largest cities in Colorado.
The ban, while unConstitutional, will probably not be recinded but you can prevent it from happening in your City and State.
Be aware, folks, liberals lurk everywhere and in all the walls.
I even heard that for every one liberal you see, there are 300 more in the dark walls, hiding and lurking.
We’ve all heard about the recent Palestinian elections.
We all know that islam hates the Jew and has vowed to blot them from the face of the Earth.
In the face of all the facts that state otherwise there are still Godless liberals who think islam is a peaceful, Jew loving religion which can live peacefully with Israel and without terror.
I found an article today, in reference to the recent Hamas win in the Palestinian elections:
In Hamas’s Overt Hatred, Many Israelis See Hope
By IAN FISHER
Published: January 29, 2006
TEL AVIV, Jan. 28 — Arie Schmidt stopped on Saturday to place a pebble on the memorial to the 21 dead at the Dolphinarium disco, killed in a suicide bombing by Hamas in 2001. The dead were mostly teenagers.
Mr. Schmidt sighed, then chained one careful word to the next on what it means that Hamas is now the official Palestinian power. “I tell you,” he began, “we think it is actually the best thing that can happen to Israel.
“Because now we see the real face of the Palestinians,” said Mr. Schmidt, 56, a computer engineer from Haifa who considers himself neither on the left nor the right. “From their vote we can understand their theory to destroy the state of Israel is not a theory but a fact.
“So,” he said, in a conclusion that may not seem immediately logical to outsiders but was repeated again and again in interviews here, “I think it is the best chance for peace. I think Hamas can understand there is no way to destroy the state of Israel and will take a course to peace.
Still, from conversations in Tel Aviv, where the palm trees and beaches can still create the illusion that violent reality is far away, anger was not the strongest emotion. Rather there seemed to be satisfaction, not with the result itself, but with how it put issues into plain view.
In electing Hamas, many Israelis here said, Palestinians could no longer hide behind figures like Yasir Arafat, who talked about peace but, they said, worked to undermine it until his death in November 2004. His Fatah faction now lies beaten, its monopoly on official power ended.
In contrast, Hamas stands quite clearly for the destruction of Israel. Now the rest of the world, Israelis said, can see this is the program supported by most Palestinians.
“Finally we are standing and confronting the real thing,” David Chen, 45, an Israeli government employee, said as he walked by the Dolphinarium monument, which honors, as the inscription says, the “many youngsters whose lives were cut by murderers in a bloody terror attack.”
“It is the moment of truth,” he said.
That moment still hangs in the air, unresolved. Since Hamas’s victory in the Palestinian parliamentary elections on Wednesday, many on the Israeli right have said that talks with terrorists are impossible, and that Hamas’s election gives Israel far more right to use force.
But Tel Aviv is generally more moderate, and opinions here on a quiet Sabbath where sun and storm seemed in tight balance, were more layered. The general thought was that, at least in the short term, the results were worse for Palestinians than for Israelis. For one, nations friendly to Palestinians may have trouble dealing with Hamas or giving it money. There is also the real possibility of factional fighting, already scattered in southern Gaza.
“There is going to be a big explosion between Hamas and Fatah,” said Joseph Brenner, 58, a gardener sitting with friends in Rabin Square. “It’s good for Israel. And God is the director. We didn’t have to do anything. God did all the work for us.”
His friend, Ilan Farhi, 43, a driver, said he felt that Hamas, as the official representative of a people who want a state, will now have no choice but to moderate if it does not want to increase Palestinians’ suffering.
“They will — they have — become official now,” he said. “Now they are part of the world. They have to be like normal people.”
In the interviews here, the main point of division seemed to be whether such moderation would lead to real negotiations with Israel.
Mr. Brenner, the gardener, was deeply skeptical: Hamas does not recognize Israel’s right to exist, will not renounce violence and will not rest until Jews are pushed from the land. “They want Tel Aviv,” he said. “They want Haifa.”
But many expressed, in the most tentative way possible, another theory: that Hamas is, in the end, more pragmatic than it seems, and that its strength — now bolstered by the clear support of the Palestinian people — will allow it some day to negotiate with Israel with a confidence that Fatah never could.
“There is a little bit of hope that things might change,” said Shamai Kidron, 50, an engineer out for jog near the beach with his wife, Shoshi. “The hope is not based on a solid fact. Their history is very bad. I guess it’s human nature to hope for the best.”
Nearly everyone interviewed said they felt that any improvement, or even real talks between Israel and Hamas, could not come quickly: the wounds here are fresh, and are spread wide and deep.
Like perhaps most Israelis, Riva Klein, 42, knows people who have lost family members in suicide bombings: in her case, the friend of a daughter, as well as the husband and two children of a co-worker, were among the 15 killed in a Hamas suicide bombing at the Matza restaurant in Haifa in March 2002.
“I see her every morning, and I can’t imagine how she can continue to live with this hurt,” Ms. Klein said, referring to her co-worker.
But, she said, she thought the Palestinians did not want to fight forever. “They want a country for themselves,” she said. Asked if she thought Hamas would be the group, finally, to achieve that, she said, “Yes. Maybe.”
For generations, the country of Mexico has been at war with the United States of America.
So far, the invasion has been subtle and covert.
Sending its citizens across the border to use our resources to gain education and access to legislature.
Having children here and becoming influential in changing laws to become more “illegal immigration” friendly.
Well, that changed this week.
The Mexican military was spotted on our side of the border, aiding in the incurrsion.
But that is not the sole incurrsion made by the Mexican military.
Being single is not easy.
Who doesn’t love company, friendship, companionship and having an accomplice to a crime?
I constantly wonder what it would have been like to have had kids.
I’m going to miss passing along all my bad jokes and my bad habits.
I’m going to miss corrupting a young mind or two.
Most of all, I’m going to miss sharing Christ with a wife and children.
We all have those “Ah-ha” moments and I have those alone.
Remember the story of the man walking through a field?
He finds a treasure in that field so he buries the treasure.
Runs home and sells his whole world to buy that field and the treasure hidden in it.
Once he owns that field and the treasure within, he explodes with excitement and shares the treasure with the world.
I don’t have anybody with whom to explode about the Good News.
Yeah, I have Bible studies, friends and folks to whom I witness and get all excited but y’all know what I mean…
It’s just not the same.
But, when a single guy gets lonely and down, he only needs to lean on the one true love Who never hurts, leaves or withdraws that love…
JESUS CHRIST!
So what did I hear today?
We all know Paul was single, he reminds us in First Corinthians 7 when he says that it is good for a man not to marry.
He tells us that he wishes that all men were like him, single, Eunuchs for the Lord.
On that note, go over to Matthew 19:11 where Jesus (GOD) even tells us that for those of us who can accept His words, we should: that some have renounced married (become Eunuchs) for the Kingdom of Heaven.
So what did I hear that was so encouraging and obvious that it has to be shared as comfort to those of us who are still single, in spite of all the nagging from family and friends to get married, have kids and blah blah blah?
Which by the way, is not very considerate of y’all.
I don’t pester my family and friends to remain single as God suggested, even recommended.
I repect your lifestyle choices, after all, God said that only those who could handle the Word He’d given should take it on.
Paul reminded us that not all of us were up to the challenge and would burn with desires (not always physical - you pervs!) so not everybody was up to handle being alone.
Ok, Ok, so what did I hear?
It’s so simple and yet so …
Jesus was single.
His whole life here on the earth (well throught Eternity as well).
He survived and He flourished.
I’m not saying, “If Jesus could do it, we can all do it…”
I’m saying, “Wow, our Creator came to this ball of dust and lived for 33 years without getting married, having kids and he had a great group of friends and family to show for it.”
I don’t recall reading about Peter, or His Auntie Elizabeth or His mother, Mary; constantly harping on him to get married!
Don’t get me wrong, the Bible is not a minute by minute account but I’m sure that you and I, my single Sisters & Brothers in Christ, are going to survive the relatively easy and short lives we have in the flesh.
Because not only was (is) Jesus single but now, as you and I spread His Good News, He is walking with us, loving us and keeping us company and filling our hearts with His love, companionship and friendship.
We are not alone in Christ.
Jesus was single, He can relate.
Colorful Controversy Hits ‘Idol’ Once Again
January 24, 2006
“American Idol” is under fire again! The reality show phenomenon is making headlines around the world as GLADD — the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation — accuses “Idol” of defamation.
The attacks against “Idol” come after an unforgettable audition by 18-year-old Zachary in Denver. A very feminine Zachary told the judges, “People confuse me for a girl all the time, which I think is funny, and I laugh my butt off.”
The remark had Simon, Paula and Randy looking to each other for answers, so they curiously inquired, “Wait… Are you a girl?”
In a written statement, GLAAD said: “The real offense here was in the producer’s decision to add insult to injury by turning a contestant’s gender expression into the butt of a joke.”
Zach fumed after his dismissal, lashing out, “‘American Idol’ fits America, and America is prejudice and racist.”
But Simon told “Extra” his genuine confusion was not a joking matter. “I didn’t know what he was to be quite honest with you,” Cowell said. “Nothing surprises me anymore.”
Many believe Simon Cowell has turned the mean meter way up this year. But Simon said he’s the same old guy. “It’s the way the show has been edited because I was actually very nice this year,” he claimed.
However, the king of cruel did drop one bombshell, admitting that he may have crossed the line with one particular contestant when he asked, “Do we have a bigger stage this year?” “I must admit,” Simon told us. “On that one, I did feel bad. I was just in a bad mood.”
The American Red Cross alone received over $600 million (USD) from Americans for Katrina victim relief.
They estimate that the total cost once everything is said and done will be in the neighborhood of $2 billion.
Now, I’m all for compassion and lending a hand when I can and when a brother needs help.
The Gov’t stated that more than 1.5 million people were displaced because of Katrina.
So when did help, relief and compassion turn into entitlement?
Don’t give me the whole poverty sob story.
I just got my w-2 back for 2005.
I still qualify for low income housing, food stamps and medicaid.
I live in the low income housing because I’ve been here for 11 (staring my 12th) and they only went low income 3 years ago but I qualify!
The point is, I can afford the extra few dollars a month for insurance on my apartment/home and if a fire, flood or theft happens here, I’m insured.
I understand that the insurance companies are going to gouge us because they have to keep their profits and still pay out all the settlements but that is what insurance is for; to recover losses (material) in the event of disasters.
Sorry to rant and sound calloused, folks.
I’m just put off by racists, both citizens & mayors, who feel that my love and compassion are not enough, that I should, at their demand, forfeit my tax dollars that can be better spent not rebuilding whore houses in a natural river bed, to support their lifestyle choices!
I gotta stop staying up so late reading the liberal rags.
I heard a couple of beautiful quotes these last couple of days, from some movies:
“They should name a gender after you.
Looking at you doesn’t do it.
Staring is the only way that makes any sense.
Trying not to blink so you don’t miss anything…”
“I’d rather fight with you than make love with anybody else…”
I know they’re all a bit cheesey but they convey…..
The truth.
The heartfelt, overwhelming truth.< br>
