Artists have sung about the city.
One even named themselves after the city.
But the poor city just can’t catch a break!
Chicago, known as The Windy City, not for the wind but for all the hot air blown around by politicians has been taking a beating for awhile now and the latest is because of Osama’s Presidential campaign.
First it was Jerry Springer.
We all know that’s a classy show.
Next came Oprah.
This Godless little nut spreading her false religion across the TV dial and globe like an STD!
And now it’s Rev. Jeremiah Wright.
How can anybody named Wright be so wrong for that poor city?
Osama has been at this man’s “church” (let’s use that word loosely) for a quarter of a century.
He was married in that church, kids baptised or whatever ritual they do there with little kids.
And they’ve all been indoctrinated in that chuuch.
Oh, his supporters will tell us that Osama is a God fearing Christian.
But I don’t believe that he’s actually ever come out and claimed such.
Even if he did, we’d know he was lying to us.
In his current book and audio tapes, Osama said that Malcom X was his biggest influence.
I mean, at least he’s an American muslim and not an islamic moslum.
He just hates white folks and America, not wanting to kill us all!
For 25 years Osama and his family have been attending Wright’s church.
For 25 years he’s heard Wright’s racist and anti-American rants.
Osama claimed he’s shocked and surprised but c’mon, we all know he knew this was coming!
To make matters worse, Wright is the kind of animal who will thrive and take advantage of the publicity.
He’s going to compound matters by taking every opportunity with the media attending his services, to express his beliefs for the whole world to see.
This is the President that liberals want to support!
Athiests have always said, ” there is no God, ” but what if we said, “There is no such thing as being an atheist!” Atheists claim that they have no faith, they are religion-free. However, when we see the complexity of all living things, it takes more of a leap of faith to deny that God exists. They may have to exercise as much faith or more than any one else to truly be able to believe what they proclaim. No one can be a true atheist, because it is not humanly possible to make such a declaration unless doing so as a statement of faith. It is impossible to make that declaration without faith because, only a divine being who is all knowing and present everywhere can truly know that “No God” exists in the known and unknown universe. To make such a declaration is to take a “God-like” stance! In taking such a stance the self-described “atheists” are making themselves God. Atheists in reality are only agnostics who have chosen to disbelieve that there is a God. Atheist have no real way of knowing for sure, but at least agnostics admit it. Atheists are a contradiction in that they are proclaiming something that only a real God could know. The bible states in Psalm 14:1 “The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God’……” Why, because it is foolish to even make the statement. So if He (God) doesn’t exist, then why do atheists feel the need to deny Him. Its time to understand that atheism is a fallacy and that if “atheists” would emerge in the the truth, they would realize that they weren’t really “atheists”, because there is no such thing.-
This fall, Colorado will vote on a law change that would legally define “personhood” as beginning at the moment of fertilization.
The change could lead to overturning Roe v. Wade.
You’ll see what we mean when you hear from those organizing for the ballot initiative.
American Life League interviews Kristi Burton, founder of Colorado For Equal Rights.
Kristi is the author of Colorado’s current ballot initiative aimed at extending the definition of person from the moment of fertilization.
You know, we are all human and especially us active Christians who are out there interacting with people by the bucketloads, we’re bound to meet folks who rub us the wrong way.
Jeesh, most of the time it’s me rubbing THEM the wrong way!
But we do our best to shrug off the drama and move along - as Christ told us, we should turn our heels, brush the sand off and walk away.
Sometimes our flesh just won’t let us do that, right?
I’ve been (and still am) guilty of letting myself be pushed past the point and rather than walk away I sharpen my claws (iron sharpens iron?) on the poor soul.
Other times it’s righteous anger.
Meaning that it’s justified - as in this case:
I wasn’t getting along with a fellow player in one of the many many online games I play.
This player jumped out of nowhere and pounced all over me, verbally assulting, battering, defamation, harassing, you name it, I was the victim.
I defended myself for a bit then decided it was best to walk away.
This co-player wrote a personal note after the fact and said that I should come back, that this co-player was a Christian too!
This was a week or so after the fact.
But after all that assult in public to claim to be a Christian too?
To KNOW that I am a Christian yet still bombard and wail on me like that?
Scripture came out left and right.
I was quoting stuff I didn’t know I knew!
How Christians don’t attack one another, especially in public.
How we’re supposed to confront each other with perceived offenses and settle outside of public courts, etc.
How you go to the offender and talk and if that doesn’t work, you take two more with you and go back, etc etc etc etc etc etc.
I mean, if this person was a Christian, either they didn’t know the Word or simply didn’t care what It teaches us.
I wanted to take second Timothy 3:16 and remind this co-player (actually I think I did) that the Word is also good for rebuking and I think that’s what I did.
I was offended Spiritually that this person had the brass to claim Christ after that sort of treatment of me.
But we all screw up and we have to beleive/have faith that the other person is truly repentent and give people another chance, right
Then the snide remarks, the fishing and baiting began.
The personal notes started dropping, little backhanded remarks.
I had to remind this person that that’s unexceptable and we both agreed to try to make a fresh start and “start over”.
I figured there was hope yet and suggested we start from a place that we may have in common.
Here, read on…
Me: Then let’s start with something we may have in common:
You told me you are a Christian.
Tell me your story.
There’s nothing more personal and less offensive and more edifying than a Christian’s story/walk with Christ
Other: Do you promise that you really want to know because you want to start fresh? If so, then I would be happy to talk about it with you Please know that I mean no offense when asking this, K?
Me: Without looking it up do you know James 5:12?
It’s the reason Christians cannot put their hands on the Bible and swear under oath in Court!
Other: For some reason, I feel like anything that I would have to say about my faith would more of a feeling of defending it, rather than discussing it with a welcome and open heart. Hopefully, you can understand that I would rather keep these conversations with those who are close to me and in my community and church where I feel safe and welcome. I do not know every verse in the Bible of the top of my head. That’s why I go to church and talk with my friends and family, to learn and not to feel ashamed for asking questions or not knowing some of the answers. I guess to me, there is a difference between being knowledgeable of the words in the Bible, and being knowledgeable of their meaning. After all, Charles Manson used quotes from the Bible in his defense, but I wouldn’t agree with his interpretations of them.
I began to write my response then I realized this was another seed on shallow and baren soil from which I was just going to have to turn my heels and shake the dust off my sandal.
Pearls before swine and all…
Here’s what I began to write then just hit delete:
I completely agree with that.
Hitler, catholics, mormons, and all their ilk give the Faith a black eye.
But in that respect, I’d rather suffer two black eyes and distance myself from the apostate: those who call themselves believers but Jesus will say to them, “I do not know you…”
Timothy tells us that the scripture is good for many things, amoung them correcting, training and rebuking.
As much as God is love keep in mind that His Word and His Spirit rebukes evil just as absolutely.
Like a magnet that pushes away its opposite - we use the Word of God to rebuke those who are apostate.
Paul tells us in Corinthians that we are not to judge the unsaved but only each other and even then only righteously meaning by using the Word which is perfect where we are not.
So I completely understand you being intimidated and wanting to remain around those who interprete the Bible/Word.
The Word is a sword, part of the amor we’re told to wear daily.
Every part of the Body has a purpose and some wear that armor and do battle daily.
Some teach.
Some are watchmen.
You know, we try not to offend and when we do we make every attempt at reparations; to make ammends.
But while we walk in the Spirit our flesh still does what it wants.
Paul tells us that he does what he does not want to do and doesn’t do what he wanted, admitting that he’s human as much as you and I.
It’s not a justification for failure but a realization that if it can happen to Paul it will happen to you and I.
We can try to love our Brothers and Sisters but some are just going to rub us wrong and all we can try to do is to be getting on getting along.
The District of Columbia passed a city-wide gun ban in 1976, infringing upon American’s Constitutionally guaranteed right and has since earned its status as the Nation’s Murder Capitol.
Oklahoma State Representative Sally Kern stands up for America and states the truth in the face of homosexual liberal lies forced upon us in this Nation.
She reminds us that the homosexual agenda is a greater danger to this nation than even the great threat of islam and terrorism.
Mostly because the homosexual agenda is being force fed to our children, forced into everyday American’s lives at the cost of our Constitutional rights and every time a new special right is passed to accommodate their lifestyle choice, normal Americans lose another right, another freedom and a little bit more of our hearts and morality.
Praise Jesus for strong and brave Representatives who truly represent this great Nation by speaking out against this threat.
On Sunday night’s Fox31 News report, Deborah Takahara opened a segment with, “…going after undocumented people whose only crime is entering into the Country illegally…”
I believe (Did she write that or was it written for her?) that her statement was not only very biased and leading but also very minimizing.
Studies have already proven the huge burden, danger and life threatening cost that illegal immigrants have borne out to be.
But those facts of reality aside her statement reads, “…witch hunting illegal immigrants whose only crime is invading our country…”
It’s a fact that most illegal immigrants steal benefits that Americans would otherwise receive, steal the identities of Americans and facts already show that more Americans die each year at the hands of illegal immigrants than have died in all four years of the Iraq liberation.
According to the news team at Fox31, illegal immigrants (sorry - undocumented peoples) shouldn’t be made to face the consequences of breaking the law because the only crime they’ve commited is invading our Country.
Fox31 doesn’t want us to remember the rest of their crimes nor do they want us to believe that invasion (or any crime) is worthy of punishment.
Shame on Fox - for lowering themselves to the levels of NBC, ABC and CBS. Shame for tossing in your liberal and anti-American, unpatriotic views.
I expect that biased liberal tripe from the other three but I always thought FoxNews would give me facts, news and reality - reporting.
So with the “nomination” Of John McCain as the Republican Party Presidential Candidate it’s now official:
In 2009 America begins her descent into hell for at least the next four and probably eight years.
Since there really is no difference between Osama, Hellary or McLame (you like those nicknames?) it won’t matter which Candidate for whom you cast your vote, if you vote for one of those three you’ll be voting for the liberalization of America.
You’ll be expressing your hate for this Country.
There’s still time to write in your vote for a Conservative, Republican, American Presidential Candidate.
Get out the word:
Vote for decency.
Vote for right.
Vote for Life.
Vote for the love of this Country.
Vote for Patriotism.
Vote for progress.
Vote for Family.
Vote for the Constitution.
Vote for upholding the law.
Vote for the Freedom of Speech.
Vote for babies.
Vote for morals.
Vote for Conservatism.
Vote for values.
Vote for the love of God!
Don’t vote for one of these three as they don’t stand for ANY of these values.
Say your Prayers, Folks and vote for what’s right and not what’s wrong: Osama, Hellary or McLame.
