President & Vice President Of The United States:
Alan Keyes & Brian Rohrbough
I’ve met both men - great God loving men who trust in the Lord.
United States Senator:
Bob Schaffer
I’ve met him and interviewed him as well.
Representative To The 111th US Congress - District 2:
Scott Starin
He’s a Conservative
Regent Of The Univ. Of Colorado - Congressional District 2:
Jerry Reed
We need more conservatives in these bastions of liberalism.
State Representative - District 34:
Tom Bopp
He’s a conservative.
District Attorney and County Commissioner (District 1):
None
I didn’t vote here because there were no viable candidates - no conservative choices and I won’t cast my vote for a liberal.
County Commissioner (District 2):
Martin Mendez
He is a conservative
Justices Of The Colorado Supreme Court & Courts Of Appeals:
“NO”
I believe in Term Limits and in “refreshing” the pool. Whether that Judge is a conservative or a liberal, it’s in the best interests of The People to bring new opinions to the Bench every couple of years.
District Judges (17th Judicial District) & Adams County Judge:
“NO”
See above - I apply the same reasoning here as I did above.
Amendments To The Colorado Constitution:
46:
NO - Won
This is a hidden initiative to make homosexuality protected. Discrimination is already illegal - this is written to protect homosexuality. Homosexuals will be able to sue if they are not hired.
47:
YES - Lost
This is the freedom of choice for workers in Colorado - this enables an employee to be free to work without having to belong to a union and allows employers to hire more employees who choose against unions.
48:
YES!!! - Lost
This extends the Constitutional Right To Life to unborn children - protecting them from murder and abuse.
49:
NO - Won
Gov’t employees already have more benefits than you and I. One being that they can choose whether to contribute to Social Security - a choice you and I don’t have so we end up contributing the their retirement while many of them don’t contribute to ours. Why give them more freedom from payroll taxes and deductions that you and I aren’t privy to?
50:
NO - Lost
I don’t agree with casinos in the first place, so I’d rather keep the voting on this at the State levels instead of giving the casinos and locals control over the laws.
51:
NO - Won
I don’t vote to raise taxes.
52:
NO - Won
I don’t vote to raise taxes. We can cut spending in other areas (social programs) to meet budget needs for our road maintenance. This initiative proposes that we tax companies who produce fuel but that tax just gets passed onto us though increases in fuel costs. So the State is in effect proposing to raise our own taxes. I do not vote to increase taxes.
53:
NO - Won
This is unfriendly to workers. When you impose these liberal regulations you push away new business from coming to the State and even some current businesses who will move their operations. This causes higher unemployment rates in the State. This also increases Gov’t and causes our taxes to be raised to pay for these new departments/job created to regulate and enforce these laws.
54:
YES - Won
I’m always in support of campaign contribution limits. If it didn’t take so much money to apply for elected offices, more people would run and we’d have a larger pool from which to choose.
55:
YES - Won
This eliminates the “At Will Employment” currently in place. At Will allows employers to let employees go without reason - just because. This gives the employers guidelines and the employees the peace of mind and encourages loyalty.
56:
NO - Won
Same as 53. Colorado is ruled by the Small Business. There are more here than any other State in the Union. Small Businesses have limited resources. When you cause the employer to spend more money on something such as healthcare, those resources have to be reallocated from other areas - such as payroll. We’ll loose jobs and wages will drop to accommodate this socialist initiative.
57:
NO - Won
Again - same as 53 - No regulations on businesses - it’s unfriendly to the employee.
58:
NO -Won
I do not vote to raise taxes. Like 52, this will cause our taxes to be increased as the oil and gas companies pass this tax on to the consumer through prices.
59:
NO - Won
1) I do not vote to raise taxes.
2) We should never amend the TABOR regulations as they were voted in place for our benefit.
3) You’ll see me explain this in County section but I don’t support the DOE (Dept of Education) and I don’t believe in throwing money at a failing socialist program, let alone ANY socialist program.
Colorado Referendums:
L:
NO - Won
We should not be lowering the age requirements. While kids may be more educated at younger ages these days, education does not effect maturity and at lower ages, kids still tend to be very liberal - with age comes maturity, widsom and conservative values/beliefs.
M:
NO - Lost
While the provisions may be obsolete, the cost to do this and revise the Constitution will be current. It’s estimated that every four lines of revision cost between $1 and $1.5 million dollars. Each State office needs updated copies whether it relates to them and there are whole departments created do these revisions. Otherwise, the obsolete text remains and everybody simply ignores it - free of charge!
N:
NO - Lost
See above - same reasoning.
O:
NO - Won
This isn’t friendly to the Colorado voter or citizen. This was crafted by national organizations who are nationally funded and have the resources to obtain more signatures. This is geared to discourage little people like you and me from being involved.
County Issues:
2E, 3A/B, 4A/B & 5A/B:
NO - Won
First - as you’ve read me repeat many time above, I don’t vote to raise taxes.
Second - I don’t support the Dept. Of Education.
Even they admit that they are a failed program.
It’s a social program in which the Gov’t should not be involved.
I support school vouchers which allows parents to choose the educational entity which serves their children. School vouchers also allow parents to provide safe and healthy educations unlike the at risk experience provided at “public schools.”
Most Americans know these “public schools” as Religious Indoctrination camps because the liberals force your kids to attend then force your kids to learn, study and become indoctrinated/brainwashed into their religious beliefs (homosexuality, evolution, islam, etc).
We shouldn’t have our tax dollars going to support these religions, especially when these liberals fight so hard to disallow American parents from pulling their kids out and applying their own taxes to their own kids educations.
Well, there you have it.
This is how I voted in the 2008 Colorado and National Elections.
Say your prayers and vote your values, beliefs and for God.
REJOICE in the Lord and ENJOY!
